LIPPEL’S DREAM
Production Information
This lavish film version of the classic
children's book LIPPEL'S DREAM by Paul Maar opened the Generation section of
the Berlinale 2009 to great success. Since then the film has made very
successful appearances on the international festival circuit (Giffoni, Buster,
Chicago etc.). LIPPEL'S DREAM won the Bavarian Film Award 2010 in the categories Best Cinematography (Jana Marsik) and Best Film Score (Konstantin Wecker). The film was nominated for the German Film Awards 2010 in the categories Best Children's Film and Best Cinematography.
Filming of this lavish version of the classic children's book by Paul
Maar started in March 2008 in the Moroccan desert. Other locations included
Passau and Munich. This is the fourth co-operation between Paul Maar and Ulrich
Limmer, following on from THE SLURB, MY MAGICAL FRIEND SAMS and MR WOOF.
